Tracking your cycle is a huge opportunity to level up your training and your body composition.
Regardless of your age, unless you’re in or through menopause, or your sex life, knowing what’s going on with your body will help you figure out how to better serve your body to achieve the results you desire.
Here are a few of my favorite books that helped me build a better understanding and a strong approach to support my body.
Period Repair Manual – Great to understand the basics of our cycle, our hormones, and anyone dealing with irregular periods.
Taking Charge of your fertility – If you don’t currently track your cycle, this breaks down why it’s so important and how to go about doing it.
Beyond the Pill – If you’re on birth control or recently got off of birth control, highly recommend this book. It’s eye opening. She also has a 30 day food protocol in there, it’s a good read.
Roar – How to use food and your training to work with your hormones, this is geared towards active women in endurance but has a lot of general information for women.
Next Level – How to thrive through Menopause and beyond. Extremely insightful.
