Skip the bloat & body shame with these travel tips Skip the bloat & body shame with these travel tips.
The key to success, plan ahead.
Just two weeks ago, I was on a 23 day streak of living out of a suitcase, bouncing around friends & families homes.
For someone who craves routine, that a big hit to your mental & physical energy.
Throw GF & DF food allergies in the mix, quickly grabbing food or explaining to people WHY you can't eat that, isn't all that quick.
Swipe right to see my go to options for survival when you're traveling to keep the bloat & body discomfort low.
Food & drink I travel with.
Food I pick up at grocery store as soon as we arrive at destination.
Fast food joints where you can create GF/DF meals that fit macros.
Save this post for when you travel!
It's my go to survival guide.

‼️There is probably a Women specific MTB clinic in your area that you should check out.
I've spent the past few weeks researching & piecing together clinics, pricing, style, etc. because you do have to do some digging to find what you're looking for.
And now I'm sharing that info with you because the more women out on bikes the betta.
✨Women's Only Clinics✨
 Multiple locations, Multiple states.
🔸VIDA MTB Series: @vidamtbseries
🔸Ladies all Ride: @ladiesallride
🔸Ninja MTB performance @ninja_mtb_performance
🔸Grit Clinics: @gritclinics
🔸Roam Events: @thisisroam
🔸Bike parks!
Check your local bike park website or facebook, I've found most of them have clinics & there is usually one women's specific clinic in the mix.
🔸Facebook for local women's rides in your area, there are a ton! They aren't skill training but it gives you the opportunity to get experience with other riders. Plus riding with people better than you naturally helps you become a better athlete, because you are one.
If you’re a MTB coach or know know of a great clinic drop it in the comments!

I believe in a world where everyone is an advocate I believe in a world where everyone is an advocate for their body.
You look inward for answers; trust yourself when you feel off.
Seek guidance & understanding while standing strong in how YOUR body FEELS & what you're experiencing.
There is immense FREEDOM when you take ownership of your body.
I'm determined to help women understand the value of discovering it.
All of the information we are now learning about food, fitness, our bodies, as grown adults, through first-hand exposure to eating disorders, self-sabotage, body image issues, self-inflicted anxiety, depression, hormone dysfunction, and even autoimmune disease.
H E A R T B R E A K I N G.
How is this "the norm?"
My mission is to get as many women as possible to build the single most important relationship they will ever have, the one with themselves, through food, fitness & awareness so that together, we can make an impact for generations to come.
Drop the emoji you use most often if you’re all in on this. ✨💛
Plan for chaos. Life has been anything short of Plan for chaos.
Life has been anything short of "normal" the past two months.
🔸We got rid of 93% of everything we owned.
🔸Renovated a camper.
🔸Sold House.
🔸Visited family/friends on East Coast.
🔸Moved into camper.
I knew I was stepping into chaos.
Therefore, I immediately defaulted to my non -negotiables, the plan whenever life happens.
✨Hit protein goals.
✨Move my body for exercise 3 X a week. Lots of manual labor this time around.
✨Have at least 20 mins to myself in the morning - even if it means waking up at 4:30 AM
✨Stay Hydrated.
✨Take supplements daily to support my lack in other areas.
Without this plan, my body & mindset would have taken a huge hit.
👉🏼I would've felt like I'm starting at ground zero with my fitness which would mean I'd be less likely to even start.
👉🏼I'd get into a routine of poor sleep hygiene, food habits ( hello chicken nuggets & french fries), & lack of awareness which takes time & energy to shift back.
👉🏼I'd have to re-build my habits.
✨Chaos without a plan =  lack of results, body image issues, and that overwhelm feeling that you & your body are out of control.
✨Chaos throws off structure, awareness, and the very thing we need to succeed, consistency.
The key to success in maintaining the habits & body you've built for the long term is to know your non-negotiables and lean into them like your life depends on it when things get crazy, because they will.
What's one of your non-negotiables?

I haven't worked out in 3 weeks. The Whitney a fe I haven't worked out in 3 weeks.
The Whitney a few years ago would have never ever let this happen.
Skipping even one day of my workouts would have thrown me into a spiral.
🔸Fear of losing my gains.
🔸Fear of gaining weight.
🔸Fear of my body completely changing on me.
🔸Fear I would get weak, lazy, slow, complacent.
I would literally obsess over all the negative implications this could have on my body. ✨Sheesh I've come a long way.
What actually happened after 3 weeks of no formal exercise. 👇🏻
🔸I’m pumped to move my body.
🔸I can’t wait to dive back into a normal workout regimen.
🔸My body looks the exact same & my clothes fit the exact same.
✨Have I lost my edge? Nope! Not that I had much of an edge going for me this year.
2022 I've been working out to maintain my foundation & let me tell you, it’s working.
This weekend,
🔸I handled the trails just fine, in fact I even got a few achievements on STRAVA.
🔸I made it through Murph and surprisingly less sore than I anticipated.
** Not to mention we were at 10,000 FT in elevation.

It’s easy to let fear get in the way of reality.
It’s easy to convince ourselves we’ve failed.
But I’m here to remind you, your body is much more resilient than you give it credit for.
You haven't failed. You haven't ruined anything.
Maybe it’s time you start to trust your body.
Accept the break intended or not, for what is is, and get back after it.
✨It’s incredible how quickly our bodies adapt. You’ll see. ✨
👉🏼Anyone else struggle or used to struggle with the fear of missing a workout or that feeling of failure when you fall off that workout routine?

For the past 12 years I’ve completed or competed For the past 12 years I’ve completed or competed in at least one race.
Between running, triathlon, & Crossfit, Ive always had some type of training mentality through the year.
Training has always given me purpose & direction in my fitness, I love the process far more than the actual event.
✨2022 started different than expected and I'm just rolling with the punches.
Not only do I not have a single race on my calendar this year, I have ZERO desire for one.
✨Fitness isn't just about conquering a distance, time, or lifting a certain weight and I want to sit with that.✨
This doesn't mean I don't have goals, fitness is a huge part of my life,
👉🏼my main goal this year is to have fun.
🔸Like taking lessons so I can overcome some fears on my mountain biking.
🔸Become kick ass on my bike so I can shred with the best.
🔸Trail run because I want to not because I need to get the miles in.
🔸More functional fitness to move, look, and feel good. **spotty gym access due to life on the road**
And now, after 50 + failed attempts over the years trying yoga, I'm all in, so a little of that too.
Of course, I'll continue to share my epic fails and wins but more importantly I will be your number one fan & support system for all you strong women out there tackling races this season from gravel, mountain biking, ultra's, half-marathons, 5Ks, and all the in-between.
